Just before the day he was to be put to death, he gave this special girl a note, which read: from your valentine and so this is how the Valentines Day tradition came to be.

Another story suggests that since St. Valentine was put to death on the 14th day in February, this day was marked as the day of lovers to show respect to the man known as St. Valentine.

2. The second Valentines Day gift idea I have for you is dinner. Now you could take her out to a fancy restaurant if you want but you do not need to spend a fortune on going out. You could just stay home a cook a romantic candle-lit dinner. If you are not a great cook keep the meal fairly simple. Try to decorate the table up a little bit, maybe with some rose petals, use the candles for sure and a real nice table cloth. Make sure you have some type of sweet ready for dessert; chocolate is a good one.

The receiving group must also grasp the pillow with their chin and chest as well. As you can see this Valentines Day game will keep your guests fairly tensed up, but we are still not finished yet!

While the pillow is being passed around, it might fall on the floor. It must be picked up but without using any hands, chins and chest only! Now the game has to start from the beginning. The goal is to get the heart shaped pillow from the first group to the last one without dropping it.

2. The second Valentines Day Game is called Always Guessing. Keep people guessing the answer to something very simple. Here is a great example. Take a glass see through jar and fill it with marbles or something and then have your friend guess at how many is in the jar. Whoever gets the closest to the right answer wins the game. Give them a prize if you want.

One thing to make sure of before starting this Valentines Day game is to be certain you know the right answer. You do not want to look foolish in front of everyone in the room.

One last tip, you can also play this game with other things like food and then give the food away as the prize, or you could use pennies, nickels or dimes. Whatever works for you. Anyway all this should amount to you having a great Valentine Day party!

There are many tasty treats that you could make but since there is only a certain amount of time in a day I have chosen a few of the top ones. You may not believe this but these Valentines Day recipes are so good your partner will love you forever after eating them. They are made in such a way, they will just melt in your mouth. Do not even worry if you can not cook, I am sure that you will be able to make these. So here are a couple of the best recipes for this occasion.

1. Valentines Mushy Mushrooms: For this tasty dish, you will need these ingredients:

I) Horseradish & garlic paste: 1 tbsp. of each

II) 1 lb. minced beef

III) 14-16 mushrooms

IV) Salt and pepper to taste

V) 1 cup of white wine

VI) 2 tbsp. of chives

If you have the ingredients gathered up you can take the beef, chives, garlic, salt & pepper horseradish, etc., put them in a bowl and mix then all up. Get rid of the stems on all the mushrooms and fill them with the beef mixture. Pour the wine over top of them and thats it. Take your bowl and put it in a preheated oven at a temperature of 350 degrees F. Cook until the beef is brown, somewhere in the range of 20-30 min. You have just completed your first Valentines Day Recipe.

2. Cream-&-Rum Valentines Day drink: All you are going to need for this recipe an egg, a tbsp. of vanilla extract, 14 oz of condensed milk (sweetened) and 14 oz of rum. Now take all of the ingredients and blend them up in the blender and put the mixture in jar, overnight. That is all there is to it. This is one of my favorite Valentines Day recipes of all.
